If a completely overhauled piece of clothing that creates a brand new item is your thing then I'm pleased to introduce these re-made classic military soft feel shirts.


Limited to only 10 pieces and only available through The Loft55 General Purpose Store, these are hand crafted in The United Kingdom by members of The Designer Guild / Goldsmiths London to ensure the best possible attention to detail and longevity.


Modifications as follows.


Sleeves made into pockets.

Cut off sleeves, hem and turn back of finish edge of new short sleeves

Cut off cuffs, used to make flap for new lower pockets

Open up sleeve piece and cut into shape to form new bottom pockets

New pockets stitched into place and topstitch

New button stitched onto pockets


Epaulettes removed.

Unpick top edge of sleeve seam and remove, re-stitch seam

Epaulette botton removed


V Neck Line.

Remove collar button / next button down, press collar under to form new neckline

Neckline stitched in place

Trim edge, overlock edges

Topstitch back section of neck facing in place

Hard to find heavy cotton (not polycotton) shirt used as the core piece of clothing


  • Product care is important as You can never quite tell how well your washing machine will perform until it's possibly too late.

    The first approach should always be to handwash your clothes separately for a longer life that avoids accidental shrinkage or the most dreaded of outcomes "accidental colour bleed from other items in the wash"

    Handwashing for more serious marks in warmer water is also encouraged.

    However if You are going to wash automatically, always 30 degrees maxium and no more, even though some brands may say above this is OK.

    As always, iron inside out just in case the iron isnt totally clean.

    Remember, if You look after Your clothes, They'll look after You. Also great for sustainability having clothes that last.
