Yes my friends.

It's time for a brand new start post LOFT55 and as such I've embarked on a small scale design project I've had brewing for over 12 months now. This also coincides with a return to djing again after a long break.

Having spent four decades enjoying all manner of dance music on the floors and in the dj booths I'm putting these inspirations out in clothing form with a limited edition made to order collection I've named 'Born On The Dancefloor'

Enjoy a listen here

Garment standards are front and center as you'll be used to by now from me with my previous LOFT55 work that saw no returned items over its 6 year period. Yes not a single one.

This t-shirt is built to keep it's shape after each wash.

You'll enjoy the benefit of having a super soft garment to wear time and time again and with a reference to a piece of dance music that has a wonderful back story.

About The Inspiration:

Cool as old skool Hiphop for the heads with plenty of 'flow' to be getting on with.

First heard this through John Peel on his late night weekday music shows on BBC Radio One. The thing being that all us young kids would tape the tracks we loved from the show and talk about them the very next day in school or share the listening experience via our Sony Walkman's with mates.

Composed of DJ Curt Cazal (Curtis Andre Small) and the emcees AJ Rok (AJ Woodson) and B-Luv (William Taylor), JVC Force is best known for the single "Strong Island," which became an underground hit during the 1980s.

JVC Force is a backronym standing for "Justified by Virtue of Creativity For Obvious Reasons Concerning Entertainment".

According to Woodson, "the letters didn't actually stand for anything in the beginning. JVC was the name of Curt's crew I believe. B-Boy thought we might get sued by JVC Electronics so our first release has the named spelled J.V.C. F.O.R.C.E."

They were signed by B-Boy Records in 1987[4] and released their first album Doin' Damage in 1988.[5] After Force Field was released in 1990 on Warlock Records, the group signed with Big Beat Records but broke up after the release of the single “Big Trax” in 1992, leaving a third album unreleased.
