Yes my friends.

It's time for a brand new start post LOFT55 and as such I've embarked on a small scale design project I've had brewing for over 12 months now. This also coincides with a return to djing again after a long break.

Having spent four decades enjoying all manner of dance music on the floors and in the dj booths I'm putting these inspirations out in clothing form with a limited edition made to order collection I've named 'Born On The Dancefloor'

Enjoy the music here

Garment standards are front and center as you'll be used to by now from me with my previous LOFT55 work that saw no returned items over its 6 year period. Yes not a single one.

This t-shirt is built to keep it's shape after each wash.

You'll enjoy the benefit of having a super soft garment to wear time and time again and with a reference to a piece of dance music that has a wonderful back story.

About The Inspiration:

A landmark tune that helped introduce the sound of House Music to the clubs and parties here in The UK in mid 80s at a time when we were first becoming aware of this style of dancefloor music that would go on to take over the world.

One of the landmark records in the history of house music "Jack Your Body" was composed and produced by Steve 'Silk' Hurley.

The title refers to jacking, an ecstatic dance style that emerged within the Chicago house scene since the early to mid 1980s. The song climbed to number 25 on the US Billboard Hot Dance/Disco Club Play chart and number 37 on the 12-inch Singles Sales chart. The song became a hit in the United Kingdom, reaching number one for two weeks in January 1987.

"Jack Your Body" was the first UK number one single to achieve the majority of its sales on the 12-inch format. Under the chart rules in place at the time, the 12-inch sales should not have counted toward the song's chart position, as its running time exceeded the then-current 25-minute limit. However, the 25-minute rule was not enforced, since the running time was not brought to the chart compilers' attention until the record was already at number one.
